If you are a daily user of MySpace, then you are well aware of the many different items that are freely available to use to dress up your profile. Some of these items serve a definite purpose, such as music players and photo sideshows. Other items exist for pure fun, and have learning potential as well. MySpace surveys and quizzes fall into this category.

You can not only have fun with MySpace surveys and quizzes, but the answers to both options allow your friends to find out many things about you that they were not previously aware of. What people find interesting is how quickly a new survey or quiz will catch on with other members of MySpace. If you are able to find one of these that is relatively new, it won’t be too long until just about everyone who is on your Friends list will have the same survey or quiz prominently positioned on their own MySpace profile.

Surveys and quizzes are fun to take, and you would be surprised at some of the questions these test-like questions can contain. It is even more fun to give a bizarre answer to one or more of the questions to see if your friends notice. This is one good way to take note of who is really reading and paying attention to any changes on your MySpace profile!

Most, if not all MySpace surveys and quizzes contain the code you need to place the completed survey or quiz on your MySpace layout. You could potentially place as many of these on your profile as you would like to, but do keep in mind that a MySpace profile with too much “bling” on it can be difficult or impossible to load for some people who are on a slow Internet connection. Everyone wants folks to be able to browse their profile, so restrain yourself if possible!

If you have searched for and found many different MySpace surveys and quizzes, yet none of them really seem to suit you or your personality, you can always create your very own MySpace quiz or survey. This is possible with the use of one of the many MySpace quiz and survey generators that are available online. You must register at some of these web sites before you will be able to start creating, but this only takes a minute.

The advantage to registering is that other members of that web site can take the quiz or survey that you create. You can come back later to see how many members of the site have viewed your creation, and how many of them have taken the time to answer the questions it contains. This will give you a good idea of how popular your quiz or survey might be once you post it on your own MySpace layout.

During your online search for the perfect MySpace quiz or survey, you will see and read quite a few selections. Some of these may contain a few questions that you like, but not enough of them to warrant posting the entire quiz or survey. In that case, just select the questions that please you, and build a quiz or survey with these.

You will probably enjoy the hunt for your perfect MySpace quiz or survey. Creating your own is also an enjoyable pastime for part of an afternoon or evening. Sharing your creation with others, and reading their answers to your questions is possibly the most fun of all!

Did you know that there are more than 100 million profiles on MySpace? As a social networking site, MySpace fits the bill. The fact that registered users can interact with each other via text, graphics, photos, and in other ways is nothing short of a phenomenon when you consider that those 90 million members reside all over the world. It is not too difficult to become friends with the people that you meet on MySpace, and sharing photos with people can often help to cement a friendship. Your MySpace layout is the first thing that will attract attention to your photo albums, so make sure you have chosen one that suits your personality.

MySpace provides a default photo album for everyone who joins the web site, just as they provide a free MySpace layout. This album can hold quite a few photos, and you can make more albums if need be. Many people will have a separate album for friends, another one for family, another one for pets, or multiple ones for whatever kind of photos they desire. MySpace has also recently added the ability to print the photos in your albums. The pages are reformatted so they will look best. You can also print a photo cube of selected photos from MySpace albums.

There are several different tips and tricks that you can utilize in order to best enjoy your MySpace photo album. By taking advantage of these tips, you can also make your photos more enjoyable for the people who visit your profile. That said, there are times when you may not want your default photo seen by those who don’t know you and who just happen to land on your profile. The default photo can be hidden by adding a simple string of code to the About Me section of your profile. There is also a code that can be used with MySpace 2.0 that will do the same thing for you.

Uploading photos to your photo albums is very easy. MySpace has developed a way to upload several photos at once, or you can upload just one at a time if you prefer. You will be asked which photo album you want to add these photos to, and if the album does not exist, you can create it at this point. Now is the time for you to add a caption to each of your newly uploaded photos. You can also find MySpace codes that allow you to use images as captions for the photos that are in your profile albums.

Next, you will want to arrange your photos in such a way so that they make a pleasing display. You probably don’t want a bunch of photos that represent different occasions all jumbled together, so if you have not made a separate album for each group, you can just arrange them in the order in which they occurred for ccontinuity’s sake. Keep in mind as you do your arranging that the first photo in each album will be the album cover. Everyone who clicks through to view your albums will see this cover, whether or not they actually view the photos inside.

MySpace photo albums are a fun way to share your photos with everyone on your Friends list.

Most people who frequent the web site agree that MySpace can be a different experience for everyone. The profile section of MySpace is where users can get creative and add items that convey a sense of who they are. There are so many different things that can be done to spruce up a profile and make it express the personality of the user.

This is just one of the reasons why this social networking website is so hugely popular. Everyone likes the idea of being able to take a slice of cyberspace and make it a reflection of him or her. They also appreciate the fact that they can add the new and delete the old whenever a new tweak or MySpace trick comes out that looks rather interesting.

If you enjoy the fun of choosing new layouts for your profile, such as cartoon or retro MySpace layouts, then you are probably interested in personalizing your own MySpace profile, there are several ways to go about it. Have you heard about all of the different things you can do with the various MySpace Editors that are available? Here are a couple of examples. These editors can help you to change every aspect of your profile, including the colours, font styles, border styles, and even more. The size of the different sections, such as the About Me section, can also be changed and scaled to whatever size you desire.

Basically, a profile editor is a MySpace application that is located online at various web sites. Depending on their authors, they can perform different task, but all of them are designed to help you to personalize your profile. Once you have made a choice of all the many MySpace layouts that are available to you, it’s time to start playing around with all the parts of your profile, changing them until they look exactly the way you want them to. Once you have gotten everything to look just like you had in mind, the profile editor will generate a special code for you. This code, when placed on your profile, will change the appearance of the page to match the selections you made in the profile editor.

A good place to start making MySpace changes is with the background of your profile page. Using an editor made for MySpace makes changing the background colour easy to do. You can also add an image to your background. This can be an image that is stored on your computer’s hard drive or one that is stored online at a place like Photobucket.

Next, you can choose a font style, size, and colour. Border styles can be changed from very thin to nice and wide, and the contact table and icons can be tweaked until they look perfect to you. You need to decide what colour you want the links on your profile to be, as well as whether or not you want the table sections to appear semi transparent.

Depending on the editor you use, you can make many other changes to your profile, such as changing the colour and style of the scrollbars, shifting your profile left or right, adding custom graphics, or a slideshow of some of your favourite photos. The best editors allow you to preview the changes you have made before clicking to make them permanent.

Using MySpace editors can help you to personalize your profile in such a way as to make it truly yours!

What MySpace member doesn’t desire a great profile page? Fortunately, there is an easy way to make your profile the envy of everyone who is on your Friend’s list, and everyone who wants to be. You simply take advantage of the best of the best MySpace tools that are available for your use. While there are many tools online to assist you in sculpting your profile in the way you see fit, you will get a lot more mileage out of those that have been deemed the most helpful.

There are many spots where you can find a perfect MySpace layout for your profile page. Layouts are the ultimate tool for profiles, as they are the backbone for everything else that makes up a profile. If by chance you do not see anything that you think would suit you and/or your personality, there are MySpace editors available free that will allow you to create a profile that you can customize to your heart’s content. If you are unsure as to exactly what you need to do to accomplish the task of designing and creating a MySpace profile, you can also consult one of several tutorials that will explain just what needs to be done.

You definitely want to have music on your MySpace profile. The site is set up to allow you to make a playlist of songs from the MySpace Music section. This list of songs will play in a player that everyone who uses MySpace uses to get started with. If the default player that is provided does not suit you, take heart! There are several options for music players that you can use instead. You’ll find that there are standalone music players on more than one web site that work well on MySpace profiles.

Music videos are also a great thing to include on a MySpace profile. MySpace has a Music Video section included on the site that is very easy to use. You can search for the video or videos you want to display, and copy the code for them that is listed beneath the video window. Then, you simply paste that code into the About Me or the Music section of your profile. You must use the MySpace videos. You can no longer use YouTube videos, as MySpace will tell you that the video has been deleted.

Widgets are a very popular addition to the layouts used on MySpace. Chances are that you will see widgets on retro MySpace layouts as well as those that are cute or cool. Widgets can do many things, such as tell visitors what the time and temperature is in your hometown, display a banner with a special message from you, or even operate a webcam or power a special game displayed on your profile. Widgets are very cool!

MySpace images are a wonderful way to not only dress up your profile, but are also useful for leaving comments to your Friends. You can find images that are compatible with your profile page all over the Internet. A code generator that allows you to show your Top 30 friends on your profile is also gaining in popularity. Music, movie and book lists are also becoming a must have for MySpace profiles. These are easily generated by various web sites, and show small photos of album covers, book covers, and movie/DVD covers. These are wonderful for making a list of your favourites really stand out.

When was the last time you changed up your profile on MySpace? Part of the fun of this social network is having a profile that is different from everyone else’s. A clever profile is always an attention grabber, and a great way to get Friend requests, too! There are all sorts of tweaks and tricks that you can utilize that will make your profile suit your personality.

One of the first things most people think about changing is their MySpace layout. This is an easy tweak, and the supply of different layouts for you to choose from is almost limitless. Layouts have been created for just about any subject you could think of. The majority of these are free MySpace layouts, and the code needed to make them a part of your own profile is usually directly below a thumbnail of one or more screenshots that allow you to preview the layout. Many times, you can see the layout on a mock MySpace profile page. This will give you a good idea as to what the layout would look like on your own profile.

Layouts are cool, but there are many other items that can be utilized to make your MySpace profile one that you will be proud to own. It’s always fun to create a profile that will be the envy of everyone on your Friends list, and one that they will attempt to emulate as soon as they can locate the tweaks needed to do Profile generators can do a lot for your page, so you may want to take advantage of one or more of them. These generators can track your visitors, place a counter that will track how many views your profile gets, or even allow you to add a neat MP3 player and your favourite tunes to your profile.

Various MySpace codes can enable you to accomplish amazing things! How would you like to customize your View More Pictures page? There is a code available that can really dress up how this page appears to you and your visitors. Another code to use that will really come in handy when you have a lot to say is the Scrollable Content code. This code can be used in any of the sections of your profile, such as the About Me, Music, and other interest sections. Now you can display all of your favourite music, television programs, and more without having a long, skinny list on your profile.

You want your profile to be so innovative and creative that people will flock to it, just so they can experience the new and different items you have placed there. The addition of games to your profile will cinch this for you. You will be pleasantly surprised to discover that many classic games have been developed into a form that will work well on a MySpace profile. Games such as Blackjack, Pac Man, Duck Hunt, Asteroids, Tetris, Snake, and others will turn your profile into a virtual game room for you and your friends.

The many MySpace tweaks and tricks available to you will make your profile a work of art!

There aren’t too many places online where you can make friends with people all over the world, network with those who have similar interests, and entertain yourself with music and videos of all descriptions. MySpace is one of those places! This social networking site has an incredible influence on all types of communication, the business world, and society as a whole. Popular culture is also strongly influenced by what people see and hear on MySpace, especially those under the age of 30.

Everyone wants an interesting MySpace profile. That’s part of the fun of being a member of the site. Looking through the many web sites that feature colourful layouts, glittery text, surveys, and other applications is a treat in itself! People take a lot of time and care in choosing just what they want their profile to look like. What might look good to them this week may not be at all what is wanted by them on their profile next week, and so this choosing of profile items is an ongoing thing for a good many MySpace users.

There is a neat way to change around your profile and have it be just different enough to be memorable. With this fix, your layout is made up of three big scrollboxes. These boxes are set up to have a photo at the top and the bottom, with bulleted information in between the photos. Three boxes are usually enough to hold the usual number of photos and the amount of information that normally shows up on a profile. It looks totally cool and very tidy as well! To try this out, here is the code:

<div style=”width:250px;
height:310px;
overflow:auto;
border-width:2px;
border-color:000000;
border-style:solid;”>
text or images go here
</div>

You can change the height and width numbers until you get the scrollbox to be the size that works best for you.

Your MySpace profile is your online presence. People who don’t know you in person are going to judge you extensively by what you include on your profile. You may want to be careful what kind of photos you post, as you really don’t ever know who will be looking at you via your profile. The same goes for the information that is posted in your blog. Don’t place anything there that could possibly jeopardize your job. Yes, people have actually lost their jobs because of posts about their activities that delve a little too deeply into their personal lives. Photos of themselves in rather incriminating acts have also been used against people by their employers.

You do have the option of making your blog posts private, as well as your photos, while leaving the rest of your profile available for anyone to view. Be aware that even if you hide your information and photos, you still will have people who are going to wonder what you have to hide! It’s a good idea in this case to have a personal MySpace account and profile, and another MySpace account and profile that has been created especially for the eyes of your business associates. Then, of course, you will have to remember not to give out your personal MySpace URL to anyone but friends and family.

There are millions of people around the world who make MySpace a part of their daily lives. It has been used as a way to locate people you haven’t seen in years, form a network of like-minded individuals for business purposes, get noticed by music industry insiders, launch a career, share videos and photos with family and friends, and even more!

Your MySpace profile is the first thing that people see when they decide they want to find out more about you. This is why MySpace members spend so much time adding and removing graphics, backgrounds, songs, cursors, and various codes to and from their profile. They are striving to have the perfect profile, although such a thing probably does not exist! Perfect is in the eye of the beholder, and there are some awfully interesting profile pages to be seen on MySpace.

It doesn’t take long to change an item or items on your profile. In fact, in just a few moments of time, you can change the appearance of a profile so drastically that it will be unrecognizable as the same one you viewed previously. Users normally do not make such extreme changes unless they are changing the layout, in which case they are merely swapping around some code by copying and pasting. When they preview their changes, and see what could only be termed a big mess, then they know that they got hold of some bad code. Or, if they typed in the code themselves, they figure that they must have transposed a letter or a number – maybe both.

Always make sure you preview any changes that you make to your MySpace profile! The preview function is there for a reason, and it’s to keep you from sending your profile to the Land of No Return. In other words, once you click on Save Changes, there’s no going back. Don’t make changes by not checking them out first, the way that so many users have discovered is not a very good idea. Otherwise, you just might end up having to start your profile all over again – from scratch!

It is amazing at the depth with which you can make changes to your profile. You can even change the colour of the text if you like. MySpace does make some of the text you see when you first start to build a profile appear as a default. The words such as “About Me” and “Who I’d Like To Meet” in an orange-coloured text, as well as “Movies”, “Television”, and “Heroes” in a blue-coloured text will all appear before you start adding and deleting to/from your profile.

It seems that those last 3, “Movies”, “Television”, and “Heroes” are a bit harder for some people to remove than others. There is a code available that will hide this text for you. Copy and paste the following into the “About Me” section of your profile.

<style type=”text/css”>.lightbluetext8 {display:none;}table table table table td {width:0px;}.contactTable td, table table td.text table td,table table table table table td {width:auto;}</style>

This will hide the words from the left side. However, the cells will be there. If you would like to have a one column interests table, try this code, copied and pasted into the “About Me” section.

<style>
tr td tr td tr td tr td tr td {width:0px;padding:0px;}
table table table table td{width:0px;padding:0px;border:0px;}
span.lightbluetext8{display:none;}
</style>

And, this code will hide the Interests table completely.

<style>.interestsanddetails{display:none;}</style>

You should be able to make the blue text in your Interest table hide for good with the use of these three codes!

Everyone should have a MySpace account! No matter what your age, from a tween to a senior, there is a place for you on this hugely popular social networking site. People log on to MySpace for many things. Most people use the site to keep up with friends, make new ones, and network with other users from all over the world. MySpace is free to join and easy to use. 65 million people can’t be wrong! Yes, MySpace has 65 million users, and is still growing every day.

One of the enjoyable aspects of MySpace is the ability to customize your profile as often as you like until you get the page to look just the way you want it. You can really use your creativity when you are working on these pages. You’ll also learn some basic HTML along the way, in spite of yourself! You will be using blocks of HTML along with several different sets of code in order to change up the look of your page. Some MySpace users also make use of CSS style sheets to get the effect they are after.

You can do an awful lot with these seemingly simple codes and HTML tweaks. They can be used to hide certain page elements on your profile, change colours, the position of scroll bars, banners and boxes as well as the entire layout, if you like. A word of warning to those who have never attempted to change anything to do with their profile – don’t try to change everything to do with your profile all at once. You might be very, very sorry that you ever even started to attempt a profile change. Why is this? Well, one little slip, one wrong letter or < or > can ruin the appearance of your page. It can be quite difficult and tedious to comb through lines and lines of code in order to locate the little bit that could be making your page look nothing like you intended it to.

That said, it is relatively easy to customize your MySpace profile. You will see an “Edit Profile” link around your default photo. Click on that, and you’ll see that you are at the proper place for changing the different aspects of your profile.

MySpace has several sections on your profile page that are there when you first open your account. Heroes, About Me, Movies, Television, Interests, and several more. Many people have problems with getting the Interests section to look the way they want it to look. Often, once you get this section set up just right, there will be a thick blue space on the left of the section box. This space may have movies or other attractions inside of it. It can really be an annoyance to have this blue space in the way! Luckily, there is a way for you to dispose of it.

Here’s what to do. Copy and paste the following code into the “About Me” section of your profile on the profile editing page.

<style>
{! get rid of Interests borders !}
.interestsanddetails, .interestsanddetails td {border:0px;}
{! change Interests inner background to white !}
.interestsanddetails td td {background-color:white;}
</style>

You can then preview your profile to make sure everything looks all right to you. If you like what you see, you can click on “Save” and you’re all set!

You can also change that blue colour if you so desire. In the above code, note where the word white is. Oddly enough, this is what creates the blue colour. Just change the word “white” to a colour that is pleasing to you. Simple and effective!

Music is an important part of the whole MySpace experience. And, MySpace ever-so-kindly designed their site so that you can add a song to your profile. There are quite a few songs to choose from; a visit to the Music section of MySpace makes that painfully obvious.

I say “painfully” because if you visit a lot of profiles on MySpace, your ears just might go on strike because of the cacophony of voices and musical instruments they will be subjected to.

You probably are already well aware of what I am speaking of here. The music on some people’s pages can make a sane person go nuts! People usually place a song which has some sort of meaning for them on their profile, or one which they have chosen to be the “theme song” of their life.

But it’s terribly annoying… and rude, according to some… to be subjected to that music in order to check out someone’s profile. It also seems to make the page load slower than it should, as it seems the song has to start up before the profile page will fully load.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not a music hater. In fact, I love music! As a matter of fact, I usually am listening to music while I am online. That’s one reason why the MySpace profile music irks me so much. It interferes with my own music that I want to hear!

And, if by chance you click off of someone’s profile page to look at a photo or something else they have posted, then go back to the profile, the music starts up all over again from the beginning of the song! People need to realize that the music that they consider beautiful or relaxing may well be very annoying to others.

So, how do you stop MySpace music from playing automatically? Music on your own profile as well as anyone else’s? Actually, it is very simple. Log into your MySpace account as usual, and in the box that has your default picture inside of it, you will see a list of things you can do.

You are looking for the one that says “Account Settings.” When you find it, click on it. It will take you to another, larger box that says “My Account Settings.” Scroll down until you see “Music Settings.” See right beside those words where it says “Change Settings”? Click on that link.

Now, you will see two settings beneath “My Music Settings.” One says “Disable My Player from Automatically Starting” and the other says “Disable Band Songs from Automatically Starting.” Band songs are what MySpace is for some reason calling the music on everyone’s profile except your own, and not just actual band profiles.

Choose both of these options by clicking on the small boxes with your mouse. Then, click on the “Change Settings” button to save what you just changed.

You’ve done it! No longer will you have to worry about anyone else’s MySpace profile music – including your own!

There are a lot of reasons for wanting to have your MySpace profile set to private. Some are more important than others, but all of them are valid reasons. The number one reason most people consider setting their profile to Private is because of just that – it will be private!

When you think about how many millions of people are members of MySpace, and have the potential to look at your profile, it can make you stop and think, because there is a lot of personal information included on the normal MySpace profile! You will always have a few naysayers that will refuse to make their profile private. Either they are proud of their profile and how it looks, or they are prideful and want the world to see their photos, maybe a poem or two they have written, and how many people are on their Friends list. You get the idea! They never stop to think that a cyber stalker could take that information and really do some major damage with it.

Just think – not just your name, maybe even your full name, plus the names of any of your family members would be right up there for the entire MySpace world to look at if you don’t have your profile set to private. All your photos are exposed for anyone who accesses your profile to see. And how about those rants and raves you may have left in your MySpace blog? It could be kind of embarrassing if say, your boss just happened to be surfing the Web and came across your profile on MySpace.

And, don’t say that your boss would never do such a thing! It is becoming commonplace for those in authority positions at work and school to check out the people who are on the payroll, or enrolled in their school, to see what they do with themselves when they are away from the job or the classroom. You can’t call it an invasion of your privacy, because you have got all of that information out in the open for everyone to examine and ponder – and possibly act upon. No one wants their boss, or their college professor, or anyone for that matter to be able to examine their information that closely – especially those rather intimate details you just may have posted about you and your partner!

By setting your MySpace profile to private, you do not have to worry about anyone you don’t know looking at your profile, and you don’t have to worry so much about what kind of personal information you write on your blog or in any of the other sections on your profile, such as the “About Me” section. Are you ready to make your profile private? Here’s how!

Log into your MySpace account. Then, go to “Account Settings”. Do you see where it says “Privacy Settings”? Go to “Change Settings.” If you scroll down, you will see a box that will say “Who Can View My Full Profile.” Go here, and you will be able to choose from three options. They are “My Friends Only”, “Public”, or “Only Users Under 18.”
Choose “My Friends Only”, then scroll down the page and select “Change Settings.” Your profile is now private! Note that if you are 14 or 15 years of age, your profile is automatically set to private. If you try to change your age to seem older so your profile is public, just hope that you don’t get reported to MySpace! If you do, they will pull your page, and all of your hard work on your profile will be lost. Better to be safe than sorry!
