Xanga Layout Converted to Myspace?

Alright, i found this xanga layout that was converted to a myspace layout by the creator upon popular demand. I copied the code to my profile but it wont let me put any of my own html in? (Pictures, change color text, stuff like that) Ive spent hours trying to figure out why it wont let me only to find nothing =/.
Does anyone by anychance know why it wont let me?
